Dan is a seasoned real estate executive with more than 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, and operational leadership across public and private companies in diversified industries, with a primary focus on real estate development and management.
In addition to his CFO responsibilities, Dan serves as Chief Operating Officer of BTI’s land development division, which currently owns or controls approximately 30,000 residential lots across Florida. In this role, he is responsible for the execution of horizontal development activities, including entitlements, design and engineering, infrastructure construction, amenity planning and construction, and disposition strategies for homebuilders and commercial developers.
Prior to joining BTI, Dan served as COO and CFO of a national retail and office real estate developer, owner, and manager. He has also held senior financial and operational leadership roles at publicly traded companies, including a retail shopping center REIT and a national homebuilder. Dan began his career in public accounting at EY.
Dan is a Florida Certified Public Accountant and holds an MS in Accounting from the University of Virginia and a BBA from Stetson University. He also serves as a Board Member of Branches, a Miami-based nonprofit that provides opportunities for disadvantaged families and children.
