Miami-based Related Group acquired 8.5 acres within the 52-acre Westshore Marina District in Tampa for $11.81 million. The developer intends to construct a 396-unit residential building on the property, positioned at the eastern terminus of the Gandy Bridge connecting St. Petersburg and Tampa.
BTI Partners, serving as master developer, envisions the broader district encompassing retail stores, offices, a 200-room hotel and as many as 1,750 residences, plus a 1.5 mile park along the waterfront and at least 185 boat slips.
